The Parksville Community Park Plaza is a space designed to encourage community gathering.

Forms inspired by a typical ocean bay will be represented through the definition between hard and soft elements. These forms will carve out nooks within the larger plaza, providing intimate spaces with the ability to expand to accommodate larger group events and programming.

The plaza is designed to strengthen connections to the many adjacent existing park uses and to accent the beautiful views of the beach and beyond. Providing a variety of seating opportunities, shady spaces and blurring the transition lines will create an environment conducive to passive activity and encourage people to linger longer.

Permeable pavers direct water into the at grade planters to manage all storm water on site.
